How to Use Long Tail Keywords to Hook Your Business Profit?
Strategy #1: Create a Content and Optimize Around That Phrase:
If you want to rank any long-tail keyword, the first strategy is to create content on that keyword. To get noticed in search engine bots and spiders’ eyes, you should optimize your blog post around that keyword.
For example, many website owners were facing difficulty to find which marketing tool should we use that can take care of every marketing problems such as keyword research, on-page SEO, link building, off-page SEO, technical SEO, local SEO, global SEO, content calendar, content marketing toolkit and many other things.
Then I found a long tail keyword: “All in one Content Marketing Toolkit.” And I created a post that was optimized around that long-tail term.
And currently, it is ranking on the top 5 search results.
Strategy #2: Use Pro On-Page SEO strategy and embed Long Tail Keywords within Your Content:
If you are creating content on the short tail or medium tail keywords, it will take a lot of time to rank on Google. Using a pro-on-page SEO strategy, if you sprinkle long-tail keywords into your content related to your main keyword, you will start ranking for those long-tail keywords.
You can use LSIGraph to find the complete list of LSI keywords. If you use these similar long-tail keywords in your content, search engines will understand more about your page and hook your ranking.
Strategy #3: Focus on “Supporting” Long-Tail Keywords to Outrank your Competitors:
Suppose you find a long tail keyword: “how should I run.”
Now, when you search for this keyword on Google, you will notice that none of the titles contain the phrase “how should I run,” so Google must group this query as part of the head term of this broader overall topic of “running tips” or “how to run.”
But how do you get traffic from “supporting” long-tail keywords like this?
Here is the answer;
You should target the main “head” term “running tips” or “how to run.”
Never target these kinds of long-tail keywords separately. You’ll waste your time because Google views all of them as being part of a broader topic.
Strategy #4: Start Ranking for “Topical” Long-Tail Keywords:
There are many keywords in every niche that are topics on their own with low search volume queries.
For example, in content marketing, the search term “Keyword Cannibalisation” is a topical search keyword. It has less search volume, but very less SEO rank difficult.
So, instead of highly competitive keywords like content marketing, copywriting, SEO, marketing, you should target each topical long-tail keyword with a unique page. Within a few weeks or months, you will start ranking for topical long-tail keywords quickly.
This way, you can get tons of traffic from topical long-tail keywords by ranking for almost 50 of them.
